Overview

We design and engineer fluid transfer systems for oil & gas applications, ensuring efficient, reliable, and safe handling of liquids and gases across a wide range of operating conditions.
Each flare system is engineered as a dedicated solution, tailored to the specific operating conditions, safety requirements, and regulatory framework of the facility.

System Scope

Our fluid transfer systems are engineered as integrated packages and typically include:

  • Pumps and compressor packages
  • Piping and flow paths
  • Valves and ancillary equipment
  • Instrumentation, control, and safety systems
  • Integration with upstream and downstream facilities

Subsystems

Pumps

Engineering and integration of pump packages for liquid transfer services, selected and sized to meet process requirements in terms of flow rate, pressure, efficiency, and reliability.

Engineering of compressor systems for gas handling applications, designed to ensure process continuity, stable operation, and optimized energy consumption.

Engineering of valve assemblies and flow control systems, including actuated valves, control valves, pressure regulation, and flow limiting devices.

Engineering of process piping layouts, including material selection, stress analysis, and integration with skid structures and plant infrastructure.

Engineering of instrumentation packages for flow, pressure, temperature, and vibration monitoring.

Design of pig launcher and receiver systems enabling safe and effective pigging operations for pipeline cleaning, inspection, and integrity management.

Engineering Approach

Fluid transfer systems are engineered starting from process and hydraulic analysis, defining flow regimes, pressure losses, and transient conditions to ensure system integrity and operational reliability.
Key engineering activities include:

  • Hydraulic and fluid dynamic analysis
  • Pump and compressor selection and sizing
  • Transient and surge analysis
  • Mechanical and materials selection

Within our Energy by Fluid approach, fluid transfer systems are designed by analyzing fluid behavior, flow regimes, and pressure dynamics, transforming energy losses into controllable and predictable parameters.

Energy Efficiency & Reliability

System design focuses on minimizing energy losses and ensuring long-term reliability through optimized flow paths, reduced pressure drops, and proper equipment selection.

System Integration

Fluid transfer systems represent the physical backbone of the facility, interfacing with all major plant systems and enabling the safe and efficient operation of the overall process.
Fluid transfer systems are fully integrated with:

  • Process systems, defining operating envelopes and flow regimes
  • Metering systems, ensuring stable and representative measurement conditions
  • Safety systems, enabling controlled response during abnormal and emergency scenarios
  • Control systems, ensuring coordinated operation and real-time monitoring
  • Mechanical systems, ensuring integrity under steady-state and transient conditions
